THE WAY TO A MAN'S HEART.

There is a popular saying: ''the way to a man's heart is through his stomach''. How true is this statement? Well I have never doubted my husband's love for me. I know he loves me not necessarily because of food which by the way I cook well. However, the events of the last weekend inspired this post.
My husband's best food is groundnut soup with pounded yam. I had never cooked nor eaten groundnut soup until I met him, so there was a lot of learning for me to do on the matter. We thank God that I succeeded with the learning process. I decided to be cooking it occasionally as I honestly think it's quite sweet for a soup plus it is really high in cholesterol.

This past weekend, I had been thinking what special thing to do for my hubby (as per Valentine), then it just occured to me I could make him his favourite meal. Hmmm, my sisters, I can't even begin to describe the result of that single action. My husband has been in his best mood ever since he walked into the house and perceived the aroma of groundnut soup. The prayer he has showered on me just this weekend alone, can take me through life even if no other prayer comes. I honestly didn't expect that much gratitude.  I really feel great and I am happy I was able to make him that happy. For the first time, I really enjoyed eating groundnut soup, the taste sort of improved in my mouth. I know however that nothing changed except the state of my mind and then groundnut soup tasted just like fresh fish soup (my best soup) in my mouth.
I learned from the experience, if we make our husbands happy, we are the ones gaining. Another thing I learned is that you can actually do anything you want once you have settled it in your mind. That thing he is telling you to do that isn't a sin, but you just do not like; is not as difficult as you think. Work on your mind, it will turn out the most interesting thing you have ever done.
Stay blessed, remain virtuous, and hope u had a beautiful Valentine celebration cos I had a blast!
